I am a UK Teaching Award winner and National Judge with thirty years experience teaching students aged 11-18. I am also an experienced examiner, having worked for many years as a Team Leader for a variety of exam boards. I have taught all abilities and in all contexts from a comprehensive to an academy to a boys’ grammar school, so I have a complete understanding of how to provide high level bespoke intervention right across the board.
I am considered an approachable and friendly tutor who creates an excellent working environment where all students feel confident to participate freely and share their ideas. I work hard to engender an atmosphere of mutual respect and support, where everyone contributes and feels safe and comfortable to do so.
I hold a degree in Education Studies (BA Hons) and PGCE in General Primary. I have been a primary school teacher since 2008 and started tutoring more recently. During this time, I have helped many students improve their grades and achieve their academic goals.
